and our famous red rock sandstone formations as well as southwest
architecture,
small town America, and historic mining towns. For more than 80
years filmmakers

-The City of Sedona is surrounded by the Coconino National Forest
which requires a film permit.
-Most of the red rock formations are on national forest land.
-Phoenix is the closest international airport; approximately 2
hours (125 miles),
-Flagstaff (27 miles) has a regional airport with non-stop flights
to and from Los Angeles.

is the "Father of Movies in Sedona." He was a wrangler, cowboy,
stunts person, location scout, trail rides operator,
carpenter,
actor, casting agent, double, rider, contact man and Sedona
photographer. He came to Sedona in 1945 and worked
the land,
raised a family and practically started the tourism industry for
Sedona.
